Hillsborough County:

Who Will Have the Biggest Season Opener?

Who we think will have the biggest season opener

QB: Danny Reyes, Tarpon Springs. Opponent: Palm Harbor. Should be good for at least 200 passing Yards and 3 TDs.
QB: Mywan Jackson, Armwood. Opponent: Plant. Armwood quarterback will get his chances in national spotlight. Good for 180 total yards and two touchdowns.
WR: Eric McGriff, Jesuit. Opponent: Blake. With three touchdown catches against Chamberlain last week, we can expect 80 receiving yards, 2 TDs and 80 kick return yards from McGriff.
WR: Allen Sampson, Plant. Opponent: Armwood. If the Armwood defense decides to focus on tight end Orson Charles, Sampson will have his opportunities on the field and should be good for 100 receiving yards and two scores.
RB: Dawrence Roberts, Countryside. Opponent: Pinellas Park. Opening against an unsuccessful opponent, Roberts should be good for three touchdowns and 150 yards on the ground.
RB: Ryan Rice, Durant. Opponent: Plant City: 100 plus yards and two scores for the downhill runner.
RB: Josh Johnson, Pasco. Opponent: Land O’Lakes. Back should total about 110 yards and two scores in opener.
DEF: Alonso. Opponent: Robinson. Alonso’s front line should be one of the best at stopping the run, which will be Robinson’s strategy this season. The Ravens are also facing a Robinson team that lost 47-12 to St. Petersburg last week.
