The Bay area is geared up for an exciting weekend thanks to the Honda Grand Prix and Women’s NCAA Final Four.
First, race enthusiasts welcome the world’s top driver drivers to St. Petersburg for the Honda Grand Prix. Beginning Friday morning, commuters to the region should expect extensive closures and congestion in downtown St. Pete, especially along 1st Street between 1st through 5th Avenues South and 6th Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Streets. Also, fans from across the nation will funnel into Channelside for women’s basketball this weekend. Tip-off takes place Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum.
