If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
In its sixth consecutive tournament appearance, the Brandon volleyball team went 6-0 in its pool to win the KSA Classic championship at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.
The classic began Thursday and concluded Saturday. Brandon defeated teams from Illinois, Arizona, Kentucky and Florida to win its bracket. Last year, the Eagles (8-0) finished third.
“Some of the teams really pushed us,” Brandon coach Amy Watson said. “It was a great team effort, which is what I really like about this team.”
Watson said the tournament was the early test her players needed.
“There were sparks of greatness of where we need to be.”
