To avoid a possible conflict with a potential Game 5 of the World Series, Tampa Bay’s Nov. 2 game in Philadelphia has been moved up to 5 p.m. Should the Philadelphia Phillies advance to the World Series, they would be scheduled to host either Los Angeles or New York in the World Series with first pitch likely around 8 p.m. Because the Wachovia Center and Citizens Bank Park are in the same complex and share many of the same parking facilities, the move was made in anticipation to avoid the conflict. The game change will remain at 5 p.m., even if the Phillies do not advance to the World Series or do not host a Game 5.
