Two rising seniors and members of Tampa Prep’s Class 2A state girls soccer championship team have made their college choices, Tampa Prep coach Pam Smith said on Monday.
Forward Paige Goodwin has verbally committed with UCF while goalie Courtney Zwetsch has committed to FAU.
Goodwin was the second leading scorer for the Terrapins last year with 29 goals along with 23 assists.
“She is a very scrappy player that makes a lot happen,” Smith said. “She works hard with the ball and makes a lot of great runs off the ball. All of the goals last year in Ft. Lauderdale came through her hard work. Paige is a very solid, all around player.”
Zwetsch had seven shutouts and 34 saves.
“She communicates and works well with the defense and does a great job tracking high shots,” Smith said.
