Forum: Talk Rays
|
It’s been more than an hour since the brain-trust assembled in an effort to determine what to do about tomorrow’s game and still no word. Even if they already have decided to postpone it, part of the hold-up may stem from an apparent disagreement on when to make the game up.
The Rays would prefer to make up the game on Sept. 1, a mutual off day for the teams. The Angels would rather play a doubleheader Wednesday, even though they would have to fly cross-country afterward and play the Twins on Thursday. They would rather not make up the game on Sept. 1 because that would give them 31 consecutive days with a game.
Anyway, we’ll pass along the news when we get it…
Updating (sort of): Matt Silverman will address the media around 6:45 or 7, hopefully with some answers about tomorrow.
Oh, one other note—Al Reyes rejected an outright assignment to Durham and was released.
