St. Pete Native, Former Spartan Signs With Angels
According to a release from the University of Tampa, former baseball player and St. Pete native Nolan Brannon signed with the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday.
He will report to Tempe, Ariz., home of the Class A Arizona League.
As a senior at UT, Brannon owned a .364 batting average with five home runs and 49 RBIs.
Before playing at UT, Brannon spent two years at Hillsborough Community College and also played at St. Petersburg High School.
