Plant City senior Kyle Martin had a pretty good day on the golf course Friday afternoon.
Raiders coach Gary Brady said Martin carded a 4-under 32 on the front nine at Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club in Valrico during a match against Bloomingdale. The 32 is a school record, according to Brady, who said Martin previously shared the low mark of 33 with former Raiders standout Spencer Baldwin.
The most impressive part of Martin’s round Friday was how he closed it.
“He played the last four holes 5-under,” Brady said. “He closed eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie.”
On the day, Martin had one bogey, an eagle and three birdies. He also hit all nine greens in regulation, Brady said.
