This weekend, I was honored to judge the 2010 Miss Florida Outstanding Teen Pageant in Dade City.  It’s an affiliate of the Miss America Program and awards scholarships to teens throughout our state.  Thirty-four beautiful, smart and intelligent young women competed but there could only be one winner and she is Orlando’s Outstanding Teen, MaryKatherine Fechtel.  MaryKatherine will now represent Florida at the national pageant this summer. 

Having competed in the Miss America program, what a humbling experience it was to serve as a judge.  I was so impressed by all of these teens and feel confident their futures are very bright. I wish MaryKatherine and all the competitors the very best!
