Saturday, April 5th, marks the one year anniversary of the death of our dear friend and colleague, John Winter. John brought laughter and smiles to viewers here the in Bay area for many years. I am privileged to have known him, even if only for a short time. At community appearances or even just in daily conversation, so many people still talk to us about John, sad for the tremendous loss we all feel.
John, I hope your soul has found peace. If you only knew how much we all miss you. God bless.

I am so glad that John’s memory was acknowledged today on the morning news. Bill’s comments during the 6:00 hour almost brought me to tears. I miss seeing John every single day. I hope he has found peace. God Bless!

Thank you for finally discussing why John died. I hope you will bring up the fact that the ones who suffer are the ones left behind in a suicide. They must live with the pain everyday and the fact that they could not do anything to prevent it.
Thank you and John you will always be missed.

Thank you for doing a tribute to John and for doing a call in on depression. (Maybe the rough riders will consider starting a walk in John’s tribute and to others who have suffered from this so common illness.)John touched so many lives in the Tampa Bay area and is still missed daily when watching the show. I hope that all realizes and can stand in the gap for others when they are in need or are suffering from depression. I know that John would want you to be a friend to someone else. John I hope you found the peace that you needed, rest now, we loved you.
