The latest AL All-Star Game vote totals are out, and Derek Jeter has moved back in front of Evan Longoria for the overall lead among all AL players.
Jeter has 2,563,093 votes to Longoria’s 2,488.076, reclaiming the overall lead he had in the first release of vote totals but Longoria has held since then.
Longoria continues to lead the voting at third base by a wide margin, with Alex Rodriguez now second at 1,165,243, and continues to be the Rays’ best bet to represent the team in St. Louis along with manager Joe Maddon and the coaching staff.
Jason Bartlett remains a distant second to Jeter among shortstops with 1,148,988 votes, and Carl Crawford is now fifth among outfielders with 1,172,241, as the Angels’ Torii Hunter is up to fourth.
In-stadium voting ends this Sunday, but votes can still be placed on MLB.com through midnight next Thursday, July 2.
