Armwood’s Jackson Cuts List To Six

Armwood’s Mywan Jackson has decided to cut his list of potential schools.

The rising senior quarterback, who holds nearly 20 Division I-A scholarship offers, has narrowed his choices down to six finalists, according to Hawks assistant Evan Davis. The six, in no particular order: Auburn, South Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina, Illinois and Michigan.

Davis said Jackson doesn’t have a favorite right now and is leaning toward no particular school. The coach added Jackson has not decided which schools he will make an official visit to during his senior season.

Jackson has made unofficial visits to several schools this summer, including Michigan and Auburn during the past two weeks.

Jackson gave rave reviews following his unofficial visit to the Wolverines’ campus two weeks ago, saying “Oh, yes. Definitely,” during an interview when asked if Michigan was the best he’s seen

Jackson said Monday he also enjoyed his visit this past weekend to Auburn, where he was joined by Armwood teammates Petey Smith and Angelo Hadley, but reiterated his trip to Michigan was still at the top of his list.

Jackson is being recruited by most schools as an athlete, but he has said he has no preference which position he plays in college - offense or defense - and that his only preference is to play a position that will get him on the field quickly.
