Also from mytbi.com, here are the latest updates related to construction along I-4. This morning, the resulting delays from this reconstruction project were minimal. I will keep my eye on this hot spot for tomorrow!
PLANT CITY—Lane closures and traffic pacing will be used on Interstate 4 in eastern Hillsborough County to erect sign structures and message boards for the SunGuide Freeway Management System Sunday and Monday (August 12 and 13) nights. Lane closures will be used between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. and traffic paces will occur between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. and last up to 20 minutes each. One traffic pace is expected for each structure installation. Traffic will be blocked from entering the interstate at all interchange entrance ramps until the law enforcement officers leading the paces pass the ramps. The schedule could change depending on the weather. Updates will be posted on the myTBI.com Web site.
Here is the schedule for lane closures and traffic paces:
Sunday (August 12): 2 eastbound lanes closed near Alexander Street/State Road 39 (Exit 21). Traffic pace to begin at Branch Forbes Road, Exit 17.
Monday (August 11): 2 westbound lanes closed near Thonotosassa Road (Exit 19). Traffic pace to begin at Park Road, Exit 22.
