Nick Clark had a natural hat trick, and Josh Michniewicz recorded a 12-save shutout as Newsome earned its second win of the young Lightning Conference Central Division High School Hockey season with a 4-0 win against Bloomingdale.
Clark opened the scoring with 3:03 into in the first period, and then completed his hat trick in the second, scoring a power play goal within the first minute of the period. Josh Revoy then set up Clark for this third of the game.
Revoy also had a hand in the Wolves fourth goal, Austin Crawford the beneficiary as he scored his first of the season 4:02 into the third.
The Bulls hindered their chances for a comeback as they committed numerous penalties in the third period, three players earning 10-minute misconduct penalties.
