I’m curious about a couple of things regarding one of the worst traffic jams I’ve ever been in--the Hillsborough nightmare this morning of 4/24.
First, the article says the road was shut down, but unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be the case. You could easily jump on it from I-275, with no idea what you were about to get into.
Secondly, the article doesn’t mention the curious blocked-off right hand lane. Police cars every so often were sitting in the lane, lights blazing. leaving only two lanes available. This meant that an already bad situation was now worsened by one-third. Would someone at the Trib as them why they did this? I’d like to think there was some very good reason.
