Veteran left-hander Mark Hendrickson has been cut from the Baltimore Orioles’ major league roster, along with right-hander David Riske.
The Orioles also told outfielder Randy Winn he wouldn’t be part of the 25-man roster.
Hendrickson was signed Jan. 31 as a minor league free agent. He spent the past two seasons pitching in relief with the Orioles and lifetime is 57-74 with a 5.02 ERA.
Hendrickson had a 3.86 ERA in six appearances this spring. He has been invited to pitch for Baltimore’s Triple-A club, but manager Buck Showalter says the pitcher will weigh his options before making a decision.
Like Hendrickson, the 34-year-old Riske can seek a major league job elsewhere.
Other cuts Monday included pitchers Ryan Drese, Rick VandenHurk and Clay Rapada and infielder Nick Green.
