Heid Takes Over As Sickles Boys Cross Country Coach
Veteran Hillsborough County coach Penny Heid has taken over as boys cross country coach at Sickles High, Gryphons girls coach Dave Rittenour confirmed Wednesday.
Heid, a longtime track coach for the Gryphons, takes over for Jim Zander, a non-faculty member whom Rittenour said was not re-hired by the school.
Sickles’ boys squad return twins Derek and Dan Wehunt, two of the state’s top distance runners last season.
