The Hillsborough Community College women’s volleyball team (25-6) is preparing to reach the NJCAA national tournament for a third consecutive time and is coming off one of its best regular season performances. The Hawks, ranked No. 7 in the nation, made program history after going undefeated in conference play en route to a conference championship.
The FCCAA state tournament will be Oct. 30-Nov 1 while the national tournament will be played Nov. 20 through Nov. 23 in Iowa.
Sophomore Emily Calderon-Reyes was named a NJCAA first-team All-American.
The following HCC players were named to the All-Suncoast Team:
First Team
Emily Calderon-Reyes, outside hitter—Suncoast Player of the Year
Isell Torres, libero
Naya Sanfeliz, outside hitter
Lindsey Rees, setter
Raquel Jones, middle blocker
Second Team
Danielle Priest, middle blocker
