Former Wesley Chapel quarterback Greg Jenkins has dropped the preferred walk on tag at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
He’s now the projected starter and signed his name to a full scholarship to play football at MGCCC Wednesday.
“I finally signed,” Jenkins said. “Now it’s time to play ball.”
Jenkins’ senior season at Wesley Chapel saw him complete 55 of 98 passes for 927 yards and eight touchdowns. He also ran for 382 yards and six more scores, despite missing a game with a shoulder contusion.
Just before heading to Mississippi, Jenkins nearly ended his quarterbacking dreams to head to a junior college in California where he was set to play defensive back.
