Florida Drivers Feeling the Pump Pinch!

OUCH!  According to AAA, average gasoline prices in Florida increased by an amazing 14.5 cents in just one week!  This puts average per gallon prices at record highs for the Sunshine State

Crude oil prices last week soared to their own record levels – over $101 per barrel – causing the surge for consumers.  Experts predict prices at the pump will go up even more this week.  This week last year, the price for a gallon of Regular Unleaded Gasoline was $2.30… and this year (are you sitting down???) $3.22?

For 10 tips on how to save on gas consumption, visit The Daily Fuel Economy at http://www.dailyfueleconomytip.com/?p=292.

And did you know?  According to HowtoAdvice.com, you should Buy gasoline during coolest time of day - early morning or late evening is best. During these times gasoline is densest. Keep in mind - gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration. You are charged according to “volume of measurement”.  So fuel up on your way to and from work to save!

For a full list of the cheapest gas prices in the Bay Area, click on Tampa Gas Prices website at http://www.tampagasprices.com.  As of Monday morning, the cheapest place to fill-up was the 7-Eleven on 6015 Gunn Hwy in Tampa… and check this out, you could still fill up for just $2.99 a gallon for Regular Unleaded!
