Chamberlain senior Dentarius Locke, the defending Class 4A state 100-meter track and field champion and this summer’s AAU Junior Olympic gold medalist in both the 100 and 200, is making an official visit this weekend at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. While there, he plans to take in the Wildcats’ football game against South Carolina.
“They [Kentucky] are one of my top 5 schools I’d like to attend but I still have other visits to make,” Locke said. “I have a while to talk it over with my dad and make up my mind.”
Locke said he plans to make an unofficial visit to the University of South Florida next week and will make an official trip to Tennessee the following week. He says he has no official scholarship offers on the table but has spoken with coaches from Texas Christian, UCLA, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU and Georgia.
