Chamberlain senior receiver Ed Williams is no longer with the team and has withdrawn from the school, assistant coach Brian Turner said on Thursday.
Alonso High athletic director Kent Glover confirmed Williams has enrolled at Alonso, which is also in the same district as Chamberlain.
“When he will be eligible has not been determined,” Glover said.
Williams, a starting receiver for the nationally ranked and state-ranked Chiefs, had five catches for 116 yards with one touchdown through five games. He transferred from Jefferson to Chamberlain in the spring.
Chamberlain (5-0) plays Sickles on Friday. The Chiefs play at Alonso on Oct. 24.
