Sources say Bucs running back Michael Pittman suffered a small crack in his fibula during a 33-14 loss against Indianapolis and will be out between three to four weeks.
Pittman heard a pop, according to sources, and was in substantial pain. He also was unable to put any weight on his right ankle.
Bucs coach Jon Gruden said Pittman’s official diagnosis is a sprained ankle, but added his status would be updated on Monday. Gruden later said he would have to entertain options, which could mean signing a free agent, on tonight’s plane ride back to Tampa.
Bucs running back Earnest Graham spoke with Pittman after the game and was cautious about expanding on the injury.
“It doesn’t look good,” Graham said.
In addition, Gruden said defensive lineman Greg White suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the game and “we’ll update it tomorrow when we have the facts.”

R.williams is NOT the answer, we need to deal one of our qbs likely simms or jake plumer, maybe he’ll decide to comeback and play for another team like the vikings, or trade michael clayton and a 1st day pick por a RB and a LT, otherwise say goodbye to our season and please don’t let the gruden/allen combo draft another year 3/3 busts ..clayton BUST! C.Williams BUST! and YES G.Adams BUST! and if so
DRAFT A WR!! OR A QB garcia is GOOD but how long will he be able to play?
