Local boys senior soccer players travel to FACA Classic this week

This week, Bay Area senior boys soccer players will travel to Ocala to play for the West Team in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association all-star classic. The West Team will be coached by Alllen Ware and Scott Ware. The games will be played at the Jervey Gantt Recreation Complex in Ocala.

The West plays Team East Friday @ 6pm; Team North vs Team South @ 8pm. Losers play Saturday @ 10am and winners play @ 12pm.

Here is a look at the West Team roster:

GK: Hunter Maricle (Countryside) and Kody Parker (Land O’Lakes).
Defender: Keaton Burchfield (Wharton); Stephen Gathman (Jesuit); Chase Goodwin (Jesuit); Andrew Hitt (Countryside); Brandon Shaneyfelt (Palm Harbor University) and Brian Steele (Tampa Prep).
Midfield: Carter Dorton (Manatee); Nicolai Hammer (Countryside); Tyler Hartlage (Jesuit);Danny Johnson (Plant); Kyle Lynch (Sarasota Christian); Jagger Martinez (Countryside); Kevin Pahl (Lakeland Jenkins) and Jake Peterson (Tampa Prep).
Forward: Tevin Gage (Bloomingdale); Michael Emert (Lakeland Christian); Andrew Lunsford (Evangelical Christian) and Andrew Palumbo (Bishop Verot).
