You have read about OTAs, minicamps, witnessed training camp and seen four preseason games. You have enough information to make a prediction, so time to cough it up.
What do you think Tampa Bay’s record is going to be this season? Can Tampa Bay win the NFC South title? Could the Bucs be a Super Bowl contender?
All I’m going to say is if you don’t put your predicition on record, don’t pop up after the season banging your chest and telling everyone “I told you so.”
Speak now or forever hold your peace.

I’m thinking 10-6, repeating as division winner, entering as a wild card contender in the playoffs. From there, its anybody’s ball game.

Hey Rod, do you know Brett? Hattiesburg isn’t that big. Any chance? you know? Talking to him for us? Maybe 09? whatayathink?

I think we(da bucs)will finished 12-4. I’m glad we are going into the season the underdogs. People are downgrading our talent at receiver: we have the best offense that tampa has ever had, with a solid, league leading defense that only lacks a consistent pass rush. It ain’t like we don’t have the personel to get the job done with Gaines, Greg, Javon and others. Tampa will win the Superbowl in Tampa

10-6 & win the division.

10-6 or maybe 11-5, repeat NFC South Champs, but no playoff wins.

Easy Skippy, just having a little fun. They will go 13-3 though, and Gino Toretta will come out of retirement to lead them to the super bowl next year.

No, I haven’t started drinking yet. Yes, it is Friday & I’ll start after 6:00. Go Bucs!!! 16-0 All the Way in Tampa Bay. Are you with me Guys? Go Bucs!!!
Did anyone catch that idiot Chris Meyers the other night, sign off Bruce Allen as GM of the Saints. I’m surprised he didn’t get punched in the face, but Bruce did correct him. Good luck with another Allen interview Chris. You moron, stick to NASCAR. The Saints Suck, Big Time! Go Bucs!!!

goin to say 11-5…also depends on injuries…three straight years of having 12 or 13 players on ir at one time doesnt help…our oline should play alot better and our defense is goin to be in the top 3…if gruden can stop throwing the ball on 3rd and 1 that would help too…this team has the talent to be a very big player in the nfc…guess we will found out when we go to dallas…goin to be a very interesting year…if caddie can be ready by week 8 or 9…those three straight divisional games are goin to be key for us as well…GO BUCS!

I say 11-5 and a nice run deep into the playoffs. With a much improved offensive line I think the Bucs will run the football and play defense to start the season and then open up the offense later in the season and begin to light up the scoreboard. It has all the makings of being a very special season I believe

9-7(10-6 AT BEST)
Tampa is good enough to win at least 9 games. The defense is top-5, with more speed than last year. The offense runs the ball well and features a conservative, mistake-free passing game. Basically, the offense won’t lose games for you. In the end, defense wins championships. That might not be true this time, but it could be good enough to win divisions.
A will depend on how we play vs. the Saints. Split, and this is a knife-fight. Sweep, and we’re well on our way to a title. Either way, this team is good enough to make the playoffs. The fact that there are a greater number of strong teams in the NFC could stand in our way. 10-6 guarantees a trip to the postseason. Less than that and we’re in deep doo-doo.

9-7, repeat of last years record but only win the division no sweep this time, probably split the Saints series at least. Win NFC South and be only team to repeat as NFC South Div Champ. Garcia gets hurt halfway through season or is benched for mistakes early, Greise takes us to the playoffs like he would have in the 2005 season.

I’m excited for the season. I think we’ve got a pretty good squad. It really is hard to predict a teams success this early anymore. It seems like you have to see how they look after 3-4 games to get a feel for how the season may go.
I think best case scenario we win 11 games, 12 if we just have one of those magical seasons where everything goes right and people stay healthy. Worst case 8 - 8.
I think 10-11 wins is realistic and gives us a shot at the south title if we play well in the division.

I think the Bucs have the best, most balanced team since Gruden arrived. This is what I consider to be Allen & Gruden’s first complete team. Prior, they played with cards they were dealt. The Bucs were behind the eight ball for four years because of the 4 draft picks given up for Gruden and then injuries. Now they have depth at every position; and I’m not just talking about bodies. I’m talking about legitimate talent. Plus they have SPEED and size at the receiver position, tight end and special teams. Look at Ryan Nece for example. He’s having a tough time making this team. Talent is deep. They’ll win at least 11 games, assuming no key injuries at QB.

TELL YOU WHAT 12-4 YOU SEEN IT HERE FIRST….CAN YOU SAY SUPER-BOWL…BUCS ONLY SHOWED A LITTLE OF WHAT THEY ACTUALLY HAVE…..GO BUCS

I say 11-5, get off to a quick start early and its looking good. If receivers play well and step up a bit we can make noise. The defense is capable of being the best in the league and our running game is much improved with graham, dunn and bennett and watch out for a late season addition of cadillac. We will make noise in the playoffs and with some solid play from Garcia NFC Championship isnt out of the question. Im excited about this team and the possibilty of repeating the NFC South. Go BUCS!

11-5
They play Dal in confernce champ game
To many unknowns to predict beyond that
Posted by charles, kc,mo on 08/29 at 10:25 AM
Tony, if the Bucs and panthers are wilcards, they will not play each other. they will play the 3 and 4 seeded teams.
Posted by HFXBuc, Halifax on 08/29 at 10:18 AM
10-6
make some noise in the playoffs…not sold on the Superbowl but if..
1)the WR’s are as good as they look…
2) Garcia stays health…
3) they get a great Pass rush….
everything is in place for a strong playoff run.

Bucs at 9-7, but 10-6 is a possibility. Weakness at QB and Receiver and game planning are the reasons for my predictions. I hope I am wrong and Bucs go on to win the Super Bowl but I live in the real world.
