Falcons Players Not Thrilled With Raheem Morris

It does not seem like Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris will receive a warm reception in Atlanta this weekend.
According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, several Falcons players are not thrilled about Morris’ previous proclamation about his team being the best in their conference. Atlanta is also 5-2 and the two teams will battle for NFC South supremacy this weekend.
Here is a portion of that article:
“I told the guys this morning, ‘You get what you earn in this league,’ ” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “They are 5-2, and they are playing as good of football as anybody right now. We look forward to the challenge.”
Falcons linebacker Mike Peterson hit the rewind button when he first heard Morris declare the Buccaneers the “best team in the NFC.”
“With all this new technology you can back it up,” Peterson said. “I was like, ‘Let me back that up.’ I was sitting with a couple of my friends and they were like ‘Did he really say that?’ Tell him ‘thank you.’ ”
The Falcons, almost to a man, have heard about Morris’ comments and have taken note of them.
“I guess that we are playing the best team in the NFC this week,” wide receiver Roddy White said. “Obviously, we have to try and go out there and get a win against the best team in the NFC.”
