After Tampa Bay’s victory against Minnesota on Sunday, Bucs RB Earnest Graham walked out of the locker room wearing a protective boot on his right foot.
Graham did not appear to be in pain, but the boot could be a sign that he did severely injury his foot during the game.
Since Tampa Bay is normally tight-lipped about injuries, we may not have an update on Monday, but we should learn more about his injury as the week progresses.
“It’s his ankle,” Bucs Coach Jon Gruden said. “It’s not the same injury. It’s a different injury. We felt the best thing to do was not bring him back into the game.”
As a result, Tampa Bay is now left with RB Warrick Dunn and rookie RB Clifton Smith, with RB Cadillac Williams available if necessary.

Greg, thanks for pointing out that error. I appreciate it and changed it in the blog.

Hopefully the caddy will be able to roll. Dunn looked good. Lets not count Graham out yet. Unfortunatley Bennett was ineffective when he was in a game…don’t know what he looked like in practice. The rookie needs to invest in some super glue

Gotta say, I question the logic of releasing Bennett. Earnest was still doubtful and then they played him anyways and now he’s out for who knows how long. Dunn is still banged up. Caddie “isn’t ready” and might never be. That leaves us with an undrafted rookie who has fumbled 3 times in three games. Ya gotta think Michael Bennett shoulda at least got a shot.

I think you meant Warrick Dunn because Earnest Graham will have trouble running with that boot on his foot. Where is Mike Bennett now that we could use him. Oh, I forgot, we released him. Duh.

I like Clifton Smith. Keep giving it to him, the fumbles will stop.
I don’t understand the optimistic anticipation for Carnell Williams. It’s been a long, long, time since he’s played and played well. So why does anyone think he’ll be the RB solution.
I’d rather bank on Smith and Dunn and Graham working through the pain.
I’m just not sure Carnell Williams will even get through the rest of the season without another injury.
