Bucs Release Inactives

Tampa Bay announced its inactive players and there were not any surprises.

QB Brian Griese, FB B.J. Askew, LB Matt McCoy, OL Anthony Davis, T James Lee, WR Joey Galloway and DT Greg Peterson are in active. Josh Johnson will be Tampa Bay’s third string QB.

QB Jeff Garcia will start in place of Brian Griese; WR Antonio Bryant starts for Joey Galloway; WR Michael Clayton will start and Byron Storer will start for Askew.

On Carolina’s side, WR D.J. Hackett, S Quinton Teal, LB James Anderson, C Ryan Kalil, T Jeff Otah, WR Kenneth Moore and DT Darwin Walker are inactive. Carolina’s Matt Moore will be its third string QB.

As a result, C Geoff Hangartner will start for Kalil, while RT Jeremy Bridges will start for Otah.
