Berkeley Prep and Plant claim several FHSAA academic winter sports awards

The FHSAA released the winters sports Academic Team Champion Awards and once again, Hillsborough County is well represented.

Plant placed first in 6A boys basketball with a cumulative grade point average of 3.470. Berkeley Prep placed first in 3A boys basketball with a 3.531 GPA.

Plant was also first in 6A girls basketball with a 3.586 GPA. The Berkeley Prep girls basketball team edged out Academy of the Holy Names for the 3A award with a 3.785 GPA. The Jaguars were second with a 3.750 GPA. Seffner Christian’s girls basketball team was first in 1A with a a 3.762 GPA.

In boys soccer, Berkeley Prep was first in 3A with a 3.459 GPA. In girls soccer, Plant placed first in 6A with a 3.801 GPA.

Berkeley Prep placed first in 1A wrestling with a 3.564 GPA.
