Jeff Attinella’s first stint in professional soccer won’t be far from where he roamed the pitch in college.
Attinella, the former University of South Florida standout goalkeeper, has signed with FC Tampa Bay, the organization announced. Attinella received a one-year deal with a club option for 2012.
Attinella compiled a 38-14-9 overall record with the Bulls, and finished his college career with a 0.79 goals against average. He was a first-team All-American and the Big East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2009, and helped USF reach the NCAA Tournament in each of his four seasons with the team.
