Zobrist to be activated
Correcting the terminology in what I typed earlier, the Rays have activated Ben Zobrist from the 15-day DL and designated Andy Cannizaro for assignment (not optioned him to Durham).
Cannizaro had only one plate appearance in his time with the Rays, grounding out to end the Rays’ May 3 loss at Boston.
