Many of you have been reading our You Make The Pick series online, but unless you’re a college football fanatic, you’ve probably haven’t seen many prospects play.

Since Roy Cummings wrote about the defensive line You Make The Pick - Defensive Line, below are some video highlights of the guys he suggested might be on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ radar.

Take your time analyzing each player and let me know who you like most.

DT Peria Jerry, Mississippi

DT Ziggy Hood, Missouri

LDE/RDE Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech

LDE/RDE Larry English, Northern Illinois

LE Tyson Jackson, LSU

The Ga Tech guy will NOT be available in the 3rd. He is a 2nd round prospect, possibly 1st.

Larry English, very good tackler, has speed, and I like the way he keys on stripping the ball loose on every opportunity.

The film of Ziggy Hood impressed me the most. Tyson Jackson also did well fighting off double teams.

Ziggy Hood impresses me the most ! Peria Jerry also looks good but has a history of knee and ankle problems ! Might be able to trade down and pick up a 2nd rounder possibly being able to p/u one of the other video participants to play OLB ! After this offseason I CAN DREAM Can’t I !!!! lol to BUC FANS ! Brooks needs to to finish his career !!! Like i said lol BUC FANS !!!

English and Peria Both look good They both are fast and energetic also they go after the ball the most. I like Peria the most with his height maybe come in handy on a few blocked kicks and possibly bat the ball down on some passes

Ziggy Hood had 14.5 sacks last year.  Thats alot for a DT.  I live in KC so I saw alot of Missourri games.  Ziggy is a beast.  He reminds me alot of Sapp.  He also had the fastest 10 yrd sprint time amoung DL’s at the combine.  Very Quick of the ball.  I dont know how he would fit in Bates system though.  He would be excellent for Monte’s system.

I like Peria Jerry, Hood and English in that order. The Bucs need is at DT and Jerry fills that position. Both Hood and English would be great additions as well. But my focus has and is on WR. I like Heyward-Bey or Britt for their size and speed. If we have to suffer through rebuilding years at least we should be entertained by a pair of exciting WR’s. Look for a gem at DL later or in free agency or trade.

“Look for a gem at DL later or in free agency or trade” NO. Enough is enough. We spent first rounder after first rounder on our D-line at one point and it brought us GREATNESS. ——————Our franchise needs to get back to spending every-other first rounder on a D-lineman. First round D-lineman are at worst average players when coached properly (much less of a bust factor then other positions). With it being much harder to draft a bust and even when you did get one who wasn’t good, by having other good D-lineman around him his play would be elevated.  !!!!! D-lineman playing well are the key to having other D-lineman playing well (they really do feed off each others disruptiveness). And they are the key to good coverage too.  !!!!!

And if Peria isn’t available take Hood unless you feel Jackson will be a probowl LE.————And Larry English isn’t a LDE imo. He is a RDE who may not hold up against the run at that position or maybe a 3-4 OLB. Don’t even think of taking him Bucs.

Michael Johnson! Talk about motor running at all times!  Hope Bucs can trade down to get an additional pick at 2nd round and get MJ as their first pick.
