As I prepare for my first full season of covering USF sports, I’m trying to use as many resources as possible to reach you—the audience.
You used to be known as “the reader,” but with so many other tools at our disposal these days to share news, views and stories, traditional media outlets such as newspapers have coined a lot of new terms these past few years, and “the audience” is one that appears to have stuck.
Some of you are such diehard audience members that you won’t leave the house without at least one piece of green-and-gold clothing on. Others check in occasionally to see if Skip Holtz has any new tricks in his playbook. A few of you just e-mail direct questions when you want to know something and then move on.
Everyone is welcome in this little corner of the blogosphere.
As we move forward, there will be more ways to follow The Tampa Tribune’s, TBO.com’s and WFLA Ch. 8’s coverage of USF sports than ever before.
The newest outlet is our Facebook page. If you have a Facebook account—they are real easy to create if you don’t—you can simply click on this link to take you to the USF Bulls Beat page.
Yep, it’s that easy. Once you click the “like’’ button, you’ll start receiving USF-related stories, videos and photos from TBO.com, The Tampa Tribune and WFLA Ch.8 on your Facebook page.
And if you’re into Twitter, you can follow our coverage on Twitter account: @TBO_USF_Bulls, and you can still follow me @TribuneScott. I’ll go more off-topic at times on my account, but most of my Tweets—yeah, that’s a real word—will have a heavy emphasis on USF, Big East and NCAA sports.
OK, that’s it. I need to get back to Tweeting.
