Winter spent the weekend getting to know the coaches and the campus at Iowa and while he was there, received a scholarship offer from Virginia. The top receiver in Hillsborough County the past two seasons will visit the Virginia campus next weekend.
His teammate Rhonne Sanderson is waiting to hear from FSU. The Plant offensive lineman visited the FSU campus this weekend, but left without an offer.
“The offensive line coach really likes Rhonne,” Plant coach Robert Weiner said. “Now, it’s just a matter of numbers and finding room for him.”
Weiner said if FSU makes Sanderson an offer, he will commit to the Seminoles.
