CHARLOTTE – The Bucs will wait until game time Sunday to decide whether tight end Kellen Winslow and running back Kareem Huggins are healthy enough to play against the Carolina Panthers.

Winslow missed all but a limited portion of Friday’s practice with a sore knee and Huggins missed most of the week’s workouts with a sore groin, but both made the trip to Charlotte with the team on Saturday.

The only member of the Bucs not to travel with the club was linebacker Niko Koutouvides, who was ruled out for this week’s game on Friday with an aankle injury.

The Bucs will likely start Jerramy Stevens at tight end if Winslow can’t play and are prepared to dress either Kregg Lumpkin or rookie LeGarette Blount if Huggins can’t go.

Winslow, who led all Bucs pass catchers with 77 receptions last season, had four catches for 32 yards in the Bucs 17-14 season-opening victory against the Browns last week.

Huggins led the Bucs with 134 rushing yards on 25 carries during the preseason but did not have a carry against the Browns. The Bucs vowed earlier this week to get Huggins more work against Carolina but he was injured during Wednesday’s practice.
