USF senior linebacker Kion Wilson wasn’t around when USF lost 30-27 at Rutgers two years ago, a game the Bulls entered as the No. 2-ranked team in the nation.
However, Wilson remembers all too well what happened at Raymond James Stadium last season and hopes to extract some revenge Thursday night in USF’s nationally televised game at Rutgers. A year ago, the Scarlet Knights hammered the Bulls 49-16 and continued to throw the ball and pile on the points late in the game. Wilson said he thought Rutgers ran up the score on purpose.
“I feel as if they did,’’ Wilson said Monday.
Wilson added that USF coach Jim Leavitt has constantly reminded the Bulls of what happened last season.
“It’s motivating a lot. He does a great job with not letting us forget about that game,’’ Wilson said. “He let’s us knows that we were basically embarrassed that game and that we have a lot to play for: self-pride, self-respect, position-rank within the Big East. So we’re going out with a lot of energy and enthusiasm for this game.’’
“Since camp he has always mentioned the Rutgers game and how bad we lost and how we were embarrassed and how we have to come out and play. Hopefully we can get our offense to stay on the field the majority of the night.’’

let me tell you something if you humiliate a scrappy guy you better go ahead and kill him because if you dont then the first time he gets a chance he will bury you. he will pile on. he will pay back that revenge 1000 times. it may not be today or tomorrow but when he gets the chance there will be no mercy and then you will regret it. keep that in mind thursday and lets see who the scrappier opponent is.
by the way i still vote for bullshot

I’ll tell ya what: make the name of the Blog “BULLshot” and give the prize to the guy with the lame suggestion who got the most votes.
BULLshot = Bulls Hot
HOT also stands for Heard Of Thunder, the USF band
BULLSHOT is the best name. Admit it.
