James Wilder got Gator Nation riled up by announcing he was committing to Florida tonight.

Only it wasn’t Wilder. Some computer hack created a fake Wilder page on Facebook and made the false announcement. A popular Gators message board were at first excited about the news of Plant’s two-way starter coming to Florida, but then grew increasingly skeptical until the hoax was discovered.
Wilder told the Tampa Tribune today that Florida is one of his six finalists. The others are Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU and Miami.
He plans on visiting the Georgia and Georgia Tech campuses tomorrow, and though he had hoped to announce his decision before the start of the football season, Wilder said he is taking his time to visit all of his finalists and may take second trips, to make sure he finds the perfect fit.
