Four Hillsborough County rising senior football players have cracked the Scout.com Top 300, a rankings list of the nation’s top 300 recruits in the Class of 2011.
Plant linebacker/running back James Wilder Jr., Plant City offensive lineman Jordan Prestwood, Jefferson wide receiver Andre Davis and Alonso defensive lineman Anthony Chickillo each made the list produced by the national recruiting website.
Wilder Jr. was the top county player on the list, appearing at No. 6. The Panthers standout also was tabbed a top 10 national recruit by ESPN.com (No. 8) and Rivals.com (No. 3).
Prestwood, a Notre Dame commit, was No. 84 on the Scout.com list, while Davis was No. 119 and Chickillo was No. 288.
Wilder Jr., Davis and Chickillo each are uncommitted prospects who hold scholarship offers from multiple Division I programs.
Defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina’s South Pointe High was tabbed Scout.com’s No. 1 recruit. He also was the No. 1 recruit by ESPN.com and Rivals.com.
