The honors keep rolling in for Plant junior James Wilder, Jr.

Fresh off his recognition by USA Today and his selection to next year’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game, Wilder’s latest accolade is his selection to the MaxPreps All-American Football Team.
Wilder, a two-way starter who helped lead the Panthers to its third state championship in four years, was picked for second-team defense. Wilder led Plant with 19 sacks and also contributed four forced fumbles and was first on the team with 1,004 rushing yards.
Last week, Wilder was one of 19 players from across the county selected to play in the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game. It’s the earliest organizers of the event have selected players to the all-star roster.
