Plant linebacker/running back James Wilder Jr., Alonso defensive lineman Anthony Chickillo and Plant City offensive lineman Jordan Prestwood each were named to the ESPNU 150, a ranking of the nation’s top 150 recruits for the Class of 2011 that was released Wednesday.
Wilder Jr. was the top local on the list, appearing as the nation’s No. 8 recruit. The Panthers standout has scholarship offers from virtually every major Division I college football program.
Chickillo, who holds scholarship offers from more than 30 Division I programs, is No. 81 on the list. Prestwood, a Notre Dame commit who played tight end for the Raiders last season but will play offensive tackle this season (the position he was recruited to play by the Irish), is No. 129 on the list.
Jadeveon Clowney, a defensive lineman out of South Carolina’s South Pointe High, was tabbed the nation’s No. 1 recruit by ESPNU. You can view the entire list HERE.
This is the second national recruiting list that has been released in which Wilder Jr. appeared in the top 10. He was listed as the nation’s No. 3 recruit in the Rivals 250.
Wilder Jr. was the only two Hillsborough County players to make the Rivals.com list, which also tabbed Clowney as the nation’s No. 1 recruit. Alonso’s Chickillo appeared at No. 195.
