In terms of TV watchability, I rank college football as the No. 1 sport in America.
I remember being unable to sleep earlier this season and watching a Boise State at Hawaii game with genuine interest. I would never do the same for an NFL game between Seattle and Oakland.
With bowl season upon us starting Dec. 19, I’ll watch as many games as possible. Some with more interest than others. What bowl game are you looking most forward to watching?
For me, it’s the Florida-Cincinnati game because I want to see how good the Bearcats really are. ESPN.com writer Mark Schlabach has listed his TV watching order from No. 1 to 34.
Looks like Mark has little interest in the USF-Northern Illinois matchup in the International Bowl. But that’s just one guy’s take.
Which bowl game has you most excited? And don’t worry if it’s not that Alabama-Texas BCS title game. That’s too easy.

My top 5 would be:
1. Cincy - Florida
2. Pitt - North Carolina
3. Boise State - TCU
4. Ohio State - Oregon
5. Penn State - LSU
The Big East should go 5-1 or 4-2 in the bowls. Losses coming from UConn and maybe Cincy.

Alabama was the team that finally took advantage of UF’s weaknesses. The Gators got lucky a few times this year.
Suggest removalCincy’s defense is porous but UF can be outscored. Should be a great game and possibly a humbling experience for UF. The Sugar is my top viewing choice.
Next is Bama vs Texas. I believe Bama will give likely Heisman winner McCoy a nightmarish game and tarnish the trophy after two bad games in a row by the Texan.
Third. I’d love to see the Bulls finish the season with a big win, regardless of who or where their playing. This is the opportunity.

1. Definitely the National Championship game
2. Definitely the Big East games, especially Cincy v Florida and the USF game
3. UCF Rutgers has some appeal. What if UCF won?
4. Auburn’s game
5. UM’s game
6. anything ESPN decides is a really good matchup
But, ironically, I’ll tune out pretty quick if they look like blowouts. Too many other things going on this time of year.

Scott, I think the Big East has a chance to go undefeated in their bowl games - your thoughts? Cincy can take down Florida, that’s the biggest challenge. It’s doable after that drubbing Florida just took, and if Cincy take ‘em, that’s a heckuva story. What will screw it up is Cincy’s coach going to Notre Dame, and doing so before the bowl game, as has been his MO. and Florida being able to get rallied back up after their devastating defeat in the SEC championship game. that’ll be a good game to watch!

Dan,
The Big East going undefeated during bowl season isn’t too difficult to imagine…I can see Florida not being too pumped to play Cincy, and the Bearcats beating them; Pitt should beat North Carolina and I like Rutgers over UCF; USF has way more talent than Northern Illinois and should win, and UConn-South Carolina is sort of a toss-up to me. UConn has played everybody tough, so it’s going to be close…the one curveball in the mix is the Gator Bowl between FSU-West Virginia…USF beat both of these teams this season, and normally I’d take the 9-3 Mountaineers over a 6-6 FSU team any day…but the emotion surrounding this game for FSU is going to be tremendous in Coach Bowden’s final game

That’s the sad part. The Mountaineers are ballers, and they will take FSU down, in the alley outside the stadium if necessary. They are not going to play their role as the sympathetic victim; they’ll be coming for a win. And Bobby Bowden will go out with a loss (probably on a missed field goal) thus ending an era in an ironic and appropriate manner, reassurring fans that it was truly time for him to go.
Heard most of your interview you on the radio today. Nice job.

Now we REALLY have to watch the UC-Florida game. With Kelly gone, does UC have a chance? Wait until the gang at Notre Dame get a chance to see Kelly on the field the first time, yelling, swearing and berating those rich elitist kid Notre Dame athletes. They aren’t gonna stand for that! Kelly is all mouth and all ego, and he’s about to meet a bunch of alumni who don’t like his pedigree. Should be interesting. I think they will hate him no matter how much he wins, and as soon as the heavy lifting is done and the team’s on the right track, he shown the door, and a man of the proper pedigree will be head coach at ND. As unbelievable as it sounds today, that is what’s gonna happen. They can’t help themselves - Kelly OR ND!

Too bad for Cincy losing their coach before their big bowl game. Only real good bowl a BE team is in is the Sugar - with Pitt-N. Carolina and UCONN-S. Carolina at least half-way interesting, but nothing too special. Hate to say this, but I would not be surprised that N. Illinois plays fired up ball against Bulls (a BCS school) and puts yet another bowl loss on USF. Based on the character of this team and the lack of solid coaching, USF will be seriously tested in the International Bowl. I’ve said this for past couple years: CJL is not anything special and USF will be not much better than an 8-4 team and no better than 4-3 in BE play with Leavitt as coach.
