Wharton’s girls basketball team has lost two more players.

Sophomore’s Tesha Hanson and Samantha Plager have transferred to Seffner Christian Academy, the Crusaders athletic director Andy Holmes confirmed. They follow fellow sophomore Shayla Cooper who transferred to Tampa Bay Tech soon after the end of the basketball season. The Tribune first reported Cooper’s transfer last month.
Hanson and Cooper were two of the top freshmen in Hillsborough County last season. Cooper led the Wildcats in scoring, while Hanson was second with 14.7 points per game average. She also averaged 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.1 assists per game.
Plager played on the junior varsity team for Wharton last season.
