Wharton recently won the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Seven-on-Seven Air Attack at Bradenton Southeast High, defeating the host school in the championship, 28-27.
With thirty seconds remaining in the game, Wharton scored and went for the two-point conversion to win the game. The Wildcats went 4-0 in pool play, which included a win over Bradenton, and 6-0 overall. They beat Middleton in the semifinals to advance to the final.
“Everyone played well,” Wharton coach David Mitchell said.
Mitchell said 10 teams participated in the tournamernt.
