Freshman fullback Hunter Joyer (Wesley Chapel High) has been impressing teammates with his toughness, physicality and blocking ability.
After sophomore fullback Trey Burton left Saturday’s opener in the first quarter with a mild injury, Joyer entered and impressed with his talent as a lead blocker.
Junior linebacker Jon Bostic said Joyer has been nearly impossible to move in practice, as the freshman’s 5-foot-10, 242-pound frame is difficult to create leverage against.
