Former Wesley Chapel football standout Kamran Joyer, a sophomore at the University of Louisville, could be out for the remainder of the 2011 season after receiving an injury to the MCL in his right knee at Wednesday’s practice, his father, Jack Joyer said.
Kamran had earned the starting job at left guard for Louisville but could now be sidelined until next year. If so, Jack Joyer said the school will likely apply for a medical redshirt in order for Kamran to have three full seasons of eligibility remaining.
Meanwhile, Kamran’s little brother, Hunter, who played for Wesley Chapel and Tampa Catholic, continues to see action as a true freshman at the University of Florida, including last week’s game against Alabama.
