Weekend cross country round-up

Tampa Bay-area cross country teams were in action on a local, state and national level Saturday morning and being the cross country nuts that we are, TBO.com has got the bases covered on how they did.

We’ve put together a round-up of the action, from the Don Bishop Invitational at Brandon high, to the mega-competitive flrunners.com Invitational 10 races in Titusville and the Great American Cross Country Festival in beautiful Cary, N.C.

We’ll have the team and individual results from the Don Bishop meet in Sunday’s Tampa Tribune. You can see results from the flrunners.com races on their web site. Make sure to check out the Tampa Tribune sports section Tuesday for the weekly cross country notebook and our exclusive honor roll that ranks Hillsborough County’s top 10 individuals and top five teams, both boys and girls. After this weekend’s action, the rankings are in for a little shake-up.
