Needless to say, no one correctly picked USF would drop two spots to No. 19. Only one person even had USF dropping in the rankings.
This week’s honorary champion: Dave Weber with 1 point. Hey, he asked to be honorary champion if he scored 1 point, so I promised him I would do it. If not, he threatened to give my cell number to UCF fans.
If you didn’t score many points this week, don’t worry. The highest point total was only four. Well, sure, I had four, but so did a few other folks, including Allen Brown.
The correct answers were: 1-USF did not cover 14 1/2; 2-Grothe leading rusher; 3-Johnson leading receiver; 4-Grothe over 275 yards total offense; and 5-West Virginia did not win by more than 7.
If you see any incorrect scores listed, please send me an E-mail and I’ll look into it.

I’m glad ECU backed up my comments all summer about WVU being overrated, although I still hope they rebound and beat Auburn later.

YES! I HAVE CLIMBED THE UNCLIMBABLE MOUNTAIN, AND PLANTED MY FLAG AT THE SUMMITT! THE INSCRIPTION “1-POINT: DAVE WEBER” WILL LIVE ON IN INFAMY!
And this is a little odd. The secret word that I need to type is “expected65,” which to be honest, I kind of expected from our offense.
