The Bulls slept in their own beds for the first night in nearly two weeks on Thursday night. They return to practice this afternoon on campus in preparation for Saturday’s scrimmage.
However, on their final night in Vero Beach at Dodgertown, USF’s players and coaches held a “talent show’’ as a fun farewell to their 12-day stay at the Vero Beach Sports Village.
First-year coach Skip Holtz talked a lot about building team unity during the Bulls’ visit to Vero Beach. So did the players.
You can judge for yourself if the trip did the trick by watching this video on USF’s official website.
If you’ve never heard offensive lineman Chaz Hine sing or seen linebacker Jacquian Williams dance, you should check it out.
Holtz makes an appearance near the end of the video.
When asked what he would do prior to the event, Holtz said, “I’ve got no talent.’’
Based on the video, I’m not sure Holtz is ready for an appearance on “America’s Got Talent,’’ but I will say the team seems to have taken on some of the personality of its new head coach.
Holtz is as down to earth as any major college football coach in the country from what I can tell. And from talking to players, they say Holtz can be as goofy and fun-loving as they are.
Check out the video and see what you think.

Scrimmage is at 1:45 on Saturday; this one is not open to the public like the one last Saturday in Vero Beach…
Barrington was back at practice today Tim442, and he is certainly behind, but if he is healthy, expect him to get a lot of reps last couple of weeks of camp…he is a big part of this defense if healthy.
