The league-leading Austin Aztex host the Puerto Rico Islanders in Saturday’s USSF Division II action.
PUERTO RICO (3-3-0) AT AUSTIN (6-1-2): The Islanders ended a three-game losing streak with an impressive offensive performance against Miami FC on Wednesday night, and with Austin averaging over two goals per game, it could be a very entertaining contest at House Park.
Four different Islanders scored against Miami, and Puerto Rico has also been finding the back of the net consistently scoring 12 goals in its six league games this season. Leading the way have been David Foley and Josh Hansen, who have three goals apiece.
Dallas has its own dynamic duo, though, in Eddie Johnson and Jamie Watson. Johnson had four goals and two assists in May, and has six overall, and Watson has added five goals. After recording just their second shutout of the season in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace Baltimore last Saturday, the Aztex will want to maintain their seven-game undefeated streak and hold onto their lead at the top of the USL Conference.
