Freshman QB B.J. Daniels starred in most of the headlines from the Bulls’ 30-19 win over West Virginia on Friday, but the Big East Conference didn’t forget about the play of Bulls senior LB Kion Wilson.
Wilson was named Big East defensive player of the week on Monday for his 12-tackle performance against the Mountaineers. Wilson also had an interception and 2.5 tackles for loss.
As for Daniels, he was edged out for Big East offensive player of the week honors by Rutgers receiver Tim Brown, who had 162 yards and two touchdowns in Rutgers’ win over Connecticut.
